Village house by the Mekong

Took a walk through some of the villages that is situated in and around the Mekong Delta. Most of the villages have their own plantations of fruit trees, coconut trees and keep honey bees. The honey drink were really sweet and I got to try some of their local products. They asked if I was interested to buy and try snake but I wasn’t too keen. I did like the banana chips and their candied ginger and nuts.

The fruits are abundant and the land seems rather fertile with fruits growing all the way from the top of the trees to the base of the trunks. The banana flower was huge and really long too!

Ain’t very wise to troop around on open sandals in the countryside. You’ll never know what kind of poisonous insects or creatures may take to kissing a fair damsel like you.

Better to wear shoes or boots.
