I was invited to attend the luxury resort wear brand, Pashma Spring/Summer 2013 Runway Show and Store Launch at Raffles Hotel and I decided to bring along both my aunt and uncle who visiting from the states. If you’ve been following my instagram and twitter (@renzze) you would have noticed that I have been busy playing tour guide to them. A beautiful Pashma fashion show in one of the oldest and grandest hotels in Singapore was really a perfect combination.
We were there a little earlier to check out the hotel, tour the place and visit Pashma’s newest boutique before the show starts.
The Raffles flagship boutique is the fourth and newest outlet for Pashma in Singapore. The three other branches are located at Marina Bay Sands and at the departure lounges in Changi International Airport Terminals 2 and 3. Originally launched in Milan, Pashma now has collections available in over 1,200 retail outlets, across 40 countries worldwide.
I love the wide clean concept of the boutique! They carry such a huge range of colors and designs that there is bound to be something you’ll fall in love with. To prove my point, both my aunt and I set out to find the perfect Pashma to complement the outfit that we were wearing that night.
I actually found a couple of beautiful ones but finally decided on this simple blue ombre scarf which seem to be made for my simple blue gown.
My aunt found a wonderful black scarf with shiny sequins to match the black and gold look she was rocking.
From the simplest to the most extroverted designs, the key to Pashma is in the quality and details.
Capturing the International market by storm, Pashma runs on its design philosophy of “use of premium noble fibers, including cashmere, silk, linen, and treating them with exotic recipes that were used by artisans of yesteryear.” Blending traditional craft with the cutting edge technology, Pashma products are manufactures in-house to guarantee quality, delivery and competitive price point.
After our little shopping expedition, we headed to the Raffles Hotel East India Ballroom to await the start of the runway show.
The runway was glittering in gold and silver as the crowd waits in anticipation. Guests were welcomed with signature Singapore Slings and transported to an old world era whilst being the first to view the collection.
The dazzling glitter runway saw models in next season’s highlights including flowy kaftans, silk blouses, sequined trousers and beautiful prints.
I love how captivating yet causal the pieces were and I could immediately see myself in some of those beautiful billowy outfits for my next resort holiday or just lounging around in sunny Singapore.
The new range flaunted hand-picked delicate cashmeres, fine Irish linen and classic silksand showcased signature paisley motifs and vibrant floral prints in a wide array of accessories and ready-to-wear. Distinctively feminine and with a definitive personality, Pashma speaks to the contemporary woman who desires luxurious fabrics and tasteful designs.
With a full house and a night of continuous sales, the thirteen year old brand proved its mark in fashion and paved the way for much success in Singapore.
Don’t hesitate to pay Pashma a visit at their Raffles Hotel Boutique as you plan your outfits for cruises and spring vacations. They’ll make such wonderful Christmas presents too!
You look very elegant in the blue gown. Both you and your aunt matched the scarfs nicely with your outfits.
Thanks Pauline!
