Courtesy of the fantastic people at Peppercorn especially the very talented Janet Chew, I attended the preview of the movie “Easy A”. I dragged my so-in-need-of-a-good-laugh girlfriend, Clara with me. And the verdict! It was good! So very funny and really witty!
Emma Stone was fantastic in her role and I find the whole story engaging, witty and just plain funny! It’s definitely one of the better high school comedy dramas I’ve seen in a really long time.
The story draws inspiration from the classic book “The Scarlet Letter” and I was definitely cheering for the the lead character, Olive Penderghast when she started wearing that red A to school.
As a side topic, I was also very endeared by her very cute and yet dysfunctional family in the movie. I hate spoilers and I don’t want to spoil the fumiest bits for those of you who are going to go watch this movie ( and I think that means you should all go watch!) so I shan’t reveal more.
