Disneysea Part 2

I’ve been meaning to finish up on my Disneysea post but my weekend was too crazily packed!  Sorry for the delay!

At Port Discovery, the focus is on futuristic technology. We took the Storm Rider ride which is a simulated ride  into a typhoon to shoot a diffuser at it. It’s pretty mild and you get a little wet.

We caught a short glimpse of The legend of Mythica show ( with a spring carnival theme) before heading on the The Lost River Delta.

Traveling through time and space, we were in South America in a snap!

The Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull was fun without being scary at all and the roller coaster Raging Spirits  ( with a 360 degree loop) was a lot of fun as well!

The girls headed down to The Arabian Cost for more Aladdin fun and Sushi got to take her favorite carousal ride. Sushi and I each bought a bucket of popcorn in the same area. Sushi’s popcorn container is Spring Carnival themed and her popcorn was curry flavored! It’s superb!!! Mine is Little Mermaid themed and my flavor is good old caramel.

I love Ariel the Little Mermaid! Unfortunately, the Little Mermaid themed rides were all meant for little kids… lol… but I still had fun choosing merchandise at the gift shop and bought a Little Mermaid container and some chocolates.

Mysterious Island was our last stop and this place is themed to the Jules Verne novel of the same name. It’s in the middle of a huge volcano centered at the middle of the whole park and impossible to miss.  There are only 2 attractions in this area. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea is absolutely a waste of time and not worth going. Journey To The Center Of the Earth on the other hand, should not be missed especially if you like roller coasters! It’s fast and it’s furious and fantastic! Even scary-cat Clara took the plunge with us!

Another not to be missed item in Disneysea is BraviSEAmo!! The show is in the evening and you have to get there slightly earlier to get a good view. The whole light, fire and water spectacular is based on a romantic story between  “Spirit of Water” and a “Spirit of Fire”. If I’m not wrong, this show is not available in the Nov and Dec months. After BraviSEAmo, we caught the usual display of fireworks before rushing to take our gondola ride.

Remember how I said we all wanted to take the venetian gondolas and it was the very first ride we saw? Well, even though we didn’t have the chance to come back to the spot till late, we couldn’t leave before we fulfilled that wish =)

Here’s a video of our Disneysea Adventures. Brings back such wonderful memories for me.

Lol! Trust me, a lot of inertia was at play but I broke down the trip in parts that I can handle and eliminated a few =)
