Daryl & Sushi's Wedding – Evening preparations

Before I go and show you the preparations for Daryl and Sushi’s dinner entrance, I’ll like to share with you some shots John Lim took of the dinner set up. It was taken in the day so that everything can be seen better. Hope these pictures will give brides to be more inspiration to draw their ideas from. Sushi’s theme as you can see is blue and white.

Those sandal wood fans with carvings are one of their wedding favors. The printed names and tassels were in blue to match the theme.

Their setup was rather western styled with a long VIP table for the bride and their immediate family while the guests sat in round tables across from them with the dance floor in the middle.

And since this was an intimate destination wedding, the guests list and their appearance would have all been finalized much earlier thus eliminating the need for a reception table. Instead, an arrangement of pretty blue roses were displayed. On every rose there was the guest name and the table which they were assigned to. So just locate your rose and you can make your way to your table! How ingenious!

Returning back to my journalistic retelling of the day’s events, guests were slowly making way to the dinner arena after the cocktail session. Everyone was reluctant to get to their seats till the sun completely set behind the horizon.

The bridesmaids gave their blessings to the newly wedded couple and flung our flower balls to the far reaches beyond the cliff!

Since quite a number of the closer guests and family stayed within the estate, some went back to their respective villas to change a new set of outfit for the dinner.

Candles were lit up at every corner and the estate came to life in the pale light of the moon.

Meanwhile the bridesmaid and the bride retreated to the villa for Sushi to change into her evening gown and get a new set of makeup and hair do.
