Daryl & Sushi's Wedding Dinner in Bali

Once again, I’ve used some of John Lim”s photos since I personally took only a few shots. It’s kinda hard to take pictures when it’s too enjoyable! You can easily tell which are John’s pics and which are mine since he was using really pro equipment while I only had my point and shoot camera with me for the whole trip!

Here comes the lovely bride and groom for the wedding dinner!

Located my blue flower and found my table with ease!

Well, once you get to your table! You’ll find your place seating easily cause the place card was a cookie with your name on it! It’s shortbread cookie with icing on the to… very personalized and distinctive.

It was a French dinner so first up was the bread rolls and butter.

Sushi and Daryl took their placing at the VIP table.

Remember the pretty fan I spoke of in the last post? It came with a small little cotton bag to store it as well.

The pretty silver box with blue ribbon and a key chain of the bridal couple (drawn by Daryl) is yet another wedding favor!

Yummy macaroons! I know this is Sushi’s favorite.

The cold starter  is Home Made Duck & Foie Gras Terrine with Onions and Rains Compote.

Next up was the Hot Artichoke and Almond Soup with White Truffle Oil Mascarpone Cream.

The main course was either the Snapper, Asian Green with Oyster Sauce, Ika no Tempura and Lemongrass Butter Sauce

Or,

Beef Tenderloin, Asian Mushroom, and Nori Dusted Potato Croquette, Bordelaise Sauce.

Dessert was Trio Chocolate Symphonies.

The whole French dinner was excellent and everyone was enjoying the dinner with free flow of  Blue Lagoons, Mojitos, Lychee Martini, Heineken Beer and red or white wine. It is little wonder that most of the guests were high by mid- dinner!

Meanwhile, there were the many entertaining toasts and speeches given by the couple’s siblings.

Some speeches were funny and others were just really touching.

The DJ did a great job at creating the right music for the setting.

Everything was perfect! The flowers, the food, the music and most importantly, the company.

Even the guest toilet (below) looked so pretty!

It was a happy day for not only the couple but for everyone there. Young or old… everyone was just having a great time.

A few more yum sengs or cheers to go.

And it was time for the cake cutting ceremony.

The gorgeous 3 tier cake so lovely! And it’s pure cake on all 3 tiers! I have such a weakness for sweet and pretty things.

Just as the Daryl and Sushi cut into this lovely masterpiece, suddenly sparks flew and the fireworks began.

The whole thing caught us by surprise cause we didn’t notice the contraption they had behind us all this while!

The wedding couple had their cake and we were all given a piece too!

Sushi took off the outer layer of her evening gown and it immediately changed into one slinky sexy short dress! I know a lot of you would want to know where Sushi’s dress is from. While her day wedding gown was from Kai, she got her evening gown from Silverlining. I’m in love with her evening dress. The fusion of colors made it so outstanding yet delicate.

Daryl and Sushi took their first dance as a married couple.

Sushi worked really hard to practice cause we all knew she wasn’t too keen on dancing. But looking at her gliding on the dance floor, her lessons and practice paid off!

We were all on the dance floor to join them soon enough and the dance party starts! A dash of alcohol, a cup of good family and friends, plenty of good music and it was enough to get everyone grooving along. It didn’t matter if you were 8 or 80!

Our music and dance took us through the ages, from current hits to retro disco.

We even did silly dances like the limbo rock!

For the lowest one, the bridesmaids took off their shoes to attempt it!

Here’s some video footage for you to enjoy
