Bali 2009

Finally I’m posting about my Bali trip. I’ve been so complacent about it. In fact I haven’t really finished sorting the photos!

I headed to Bali to attend Sushi and Daryl’s wedding but extended the trip to make it a full blown holiday cause I personally love Bali so much! I visit Bali once a year so having my good pal having her wedding there was an added bonus for me! I was up really early to catch the earliest morning flight so just a comfy singlet and jeans combo with a jacket thrown in for good measure.

I had some nasi lemak breakfast pre-flight at the airport transit but still managed to wolf down the omelet, hash browns, mushrooms and sausages given on board.

Had some ice-cream upon touch down at Denpasar Airport and headed straight to the hotel. I arrived way ahead of the wedding ( like a day or two) , even before the bride and groom cause I wanted more time to enjoy first.

I had the hotel pool right outside my balcony and the coolest thing about that is that there is a ladder from the room balcony that leads straight to the pool!  Later on I switched accommodations and thus changed rooms a few times… it’s a long story.

The grand Bali is Balinese themed. The rooms are pretty spacious and so are their bathrooms. Here’s some pictures of the bathroom.

You might notice that I’m taking the photos with my little compact camera. All my photos on this trip are taken with that little Canon Ixus.

That’s all for pictures of the room! I’ve to get out of my house really early today so I’ll post more when I get back tonight. Meanwhile, here is my video of my flight. You can see how stone face I am when I have to wake up real early for a flight and also how I dutifully hand carried my bridesmaid dress so it wouldn’t be crushed and crumpled by the time I get to Bali.

fabulous jacket, where is it from? my latest fashion obsession is jackets.. they are an easy way to jazz up a plain outfit. hey, did you actually climb down the ladder from your room balcony into the pool before you switched rooms? 😀 so cool.

      Xiaoqi,

I got the jacket in HK… thought it was unusual cause of the bell sleeves. Yes jackets do spruce up an outfit easily and they are useful in keeping the cold at bay too! Actually climbing the ladder and into the pool was the first thing I did after I arrived! Lol

thanks! that ladder thing sounds so fun, it reminds me of treehouses and what not, just that this is even better cos i can splash into the water! 😀

      xiaoqi,

Lol!! I think it’s a cool concept and I wonder why none of the hotels locally had considered implementing it.
