Baker & Cook

My schedule for these few weeks is craaaaazzzy! Events, commitments and appointments almost every single weekday after work and weekends I’m out of town! I haven’t seen my parent, sibling, close friends or anyone at all! In fact, my colleagues are probably the only people who can verify I’m alive.  Okay them and my grandmother who has requested my presence even more than usual recently. I need to get her to a technological level where she can troubleshoot network issues.

I miss mornings where I can grab a cup of hot chocolate and a good breakfast before heading to work, or late night gossip sessions over massages or even weekend brunch dates. I don’t see myself having any spare time in the next 2 to 3 weeks but I hope that I can work towards balancing more rest and relax into my hectic schedule.

These photos were taken over impromptu breakfast meet up with Regina, Sushi and my little godson sometime ago. We had intended to meet at The Riders Cafe but ended up trying Bakers & Cook instead.

According to Baker and Cook, they are Singapore’s only true artisan bakery & food store.  Even on a weekday, they were absolutely packed to the brim and we were lucky to even find seating!

I enjoyed the food especially my hot chocolate and Egg Benedict! The portions are huge.

A fantastic breakfast makes such a big difference to the whole day and it made all the stress I had all disappear with each bite. The company of my girlies also played a big part in that 🙂

There were so many things I wanted to try there but I’m limited by my stomach space so I guess it means I’ll have to make another trip down to try out some of their sandwiches and cakes.

But the thing I miss most right now is their cup of hot chocolate. I don’t usually take coffee so hot chocolate is probably what you’ll catch me with if I’m aiming for a hot drink. Theirs is rich, creamy with lovely whipped designs that are usually reserved for coffees.

I’ve always maintained that with everything, you need good company and I’m blessed to have my girls always show up on a whim whenever I need some. *muacks*

And of course some love has to go to my cutie pie godson Leo who has grown so much from when I first held him! He has a way of making you focus on him and forget your own issues.

Look, it’s getting sooo old, your incessant whining sounds like a broken record. if you are as busy as you claim, then why blog & post back-dated pixs???

I don’t normally comment but I’ve followed this blog for years. I find that renzze inspiring because she manages her time and is able to juggle work and play so well that it’s only in recent times that I see her commenting about her tiredness and lack of time. If anything, I’m concerned for her and I think it is absolutely justified for her to rant on her own personal blog. Blogging is a lot of work that readers take for granted. I used to blog but not anymore so I admire anyone who despite their busy schedule can set time aside for blogging.

Renzze babe, you go girl! Continue to blog whenever you are free, old or new doesn’t matter cause I love your outfits and the places you visit! I’ll be reading even if I don’t comment and will be cheering you on and ‘listening’ to your rants!

      Hi Sumin,

Thanks for your encouragement. From time to time there will always be readers who come in to read and then complain which I’ve learnt to ignore. Blogging takes passion and also discipline and it won’t be something I’m giving up anytime soon even though it’s tough to balance everything. It’s readers like you that makes the time set aside to put up my photos worth the while. Thank you very much!!! I made another groundbreaking decision in my personal life recently so it should free me up quite a bit in a few months time and I’ll be able to blog as often as I used to.
