Andrew's gate crashing

Andrew brought his multitude of groomsmen ready to embark on any challenges that the jie meis’ give in order to successfully retrieve his bride!

We had prepared a game board of 16 choices. There were 4 “Xi” (Double Happiness) hidden under the papers and the rest were filled with challenges. The aim was for him to open up all the 4 “Xi” before he could proceed. However, it seems that luck wasn’t on Andrew’s side because he almost opened every number and performed so many challenges before he uncovered all 4!

Some of the mini games includes the groomsmen kissing Andrew with lipstick on, juggling eggs, doing push-ups, forming words with what ever they had on them, pick up kua zi from a coffee powder plate with only their mouth, kissing frogs, dancing the dragon ball dance or to the tune of wonder girls, licking off whipped cream, biting biscuits to form phrases, etc.

The boys did a great job, especially Andrew who did his very best in all the tasks assigned to him. All the while, his bride, Koji was watching through the skype we set up on the laptop in the living area.

All the boys finished up their portions of sour, sweet, bitter and spicy “breakfast” that we had specially prepared for them. Koji must be glad to know that Andrew would do anything for her and Andrew now knows that he had to earn his way to marry the fair maiden so he’ll treasure her even more.

It was a touching moment when Andrew finally made his way to his bride and lifted her veil for the magical kiss! Awwwww!

I’ve never seen Clara happier! She makes a really good jie mei; delighting in the suffering she has caused the boys that morning! LOL.
