Most of us already know that Thailand is one of the best destinations to eat and shop till you drop. Singaporeans love Thailand. We love Bangkok and we love that airlines like Air Asia are always having promotions to give us more reasons to head over to the ‘Land of Smiles’.

Recently, I joined Air Asia and the Tourism Authority of Thailand to witness the launch of ‘Thailand Shopping and Dining Paradise 2017’. Teams from Vietnam, Hong Kong and Singapore (together with a representing Thailand blogger in each team) were tasked to a unique shopping challenge to see who will be able to travel the given route and showcase Thailand’s incredible shopping and dining experiences in the shortest time.
They went to so many Malls and since it is the ‘Green Season’ in Thailand, there were countless of promotions and discounts in the various departmental stores, restaurants and tourist attractions. Personally, I wished I had more time in Bangkok to fully utilise the promotional discounts at some of my favourite Thai designers and to eat more of the delicious street food!
Representing Singapore we had Rebecca Tan, Roz Pho, Cinddie and Jill-Marie Thomas for the race.
The teams had a beautiful fashion show at the end of the day with all the discount shopping they did and Jill-Marie Thomas really wow-ed the crowd with her incredible voice! Rebecca, Cinddie and Roz have equally infections vibes and it was an incredible night.
Congratulations to Team Hong Kong for wining the race and clocking the fastest time in the challenge!
Even though Singapore were not the ultimate winners, we all had fun and the Singapore team certainly brought the house down!
