November 2014 {InstaFlashback}

I’ve been having a cray cray week and I almost can’t believe it’s Thursday already. When life gets busy, time flies which is a good thing as long as I don’t lose focus. I haven’t had time to dig out really old photos for {Throwback Thursday} but it’s a good time to do a quick recap of my November 2014. I was in Melbourne for my birthday in October and my trip lasted all the way to early November. It’s always happy times whenever I go Melbourne cause one of my closest friends, Clara, is there.

Of course, cold drip coffee with some of the best ninety plus coffee beans in the world makes me happy too!

My BFF, Jenny, flew from Sydney to spend some more time with me in Melbourne. It was a gridlock in the city due to the Melbourne Cup so we decided to get out! I drove to Yarra Valley and we had a lovely day out eating chocolates and ice-cream among greenery at the Yarra Valley Chocolatier & Ice-creamery.

I miss the nice clear waters at Sorrento and the cool weather in Melbourne.

Went to Beyond Basics at Port Melbourne for brunch. Lovely cafe with a view.

Australia is a place I always go to catch up with old friends. Myvany was my classmate in primary school. See how far we’ve come.

Was quite jet lagged when I came back to Singapore but my sister is always full of energy.

Designed a log cake within 15 mins during a party invited by The Coffee & Tea Leaf and our team won!

Raphael supplies my cold drip coffee whenever he gets his hands on awesome beans.

Made a quick pit stop to meet up with Valyn when she came to Singapore on a medical trip despite my busy schedule. I’m so glad her back is all better now.

Had a good rest over the weekend to counter my jet lag and woke up on Monday feeling good and ready to conquer the world (or at least my to-do list).

Spent an afternoon with my Godsons just playing. Play time is so important for children.

I was feeling a little pudgy after friends (and my tailor) exclaimed how I’ve gain weight. I guess the huge portions and non-stop eating sprints I had in Australia were not good for my waistline.

I had surprise flowers! To be honest, I’m not really a roses kinda girl but sweet surprises like these always melt my heart.

Met the very charming and handsome Longines ambassador, Eddie Peng at Longines Gold Cup. Everyone was star struck.

Raphael and I at the Longines Gold Cup event.

I love raw organic and homemade Pana chocolates ! Makes my indulgences somewhat healthy 🙂 Too bad the small supply i carted back from Australia didn’t last me very long.

Had so much fun practicing my aim at the Songkhla Sports Shooting Club while I was in HatYai, Thailand. That speck of dirt on my cheek is made by the one of the errant ejected spent cartridge. But I had so much fun I didn’t notice it till after!

I went for a bowl of bird nest every night before bed when I was in Hat Yai, Thailand.

Messy but super relaxed and comfortable after my cheap and good massage in HatYai, Thailand.

With the famous golden mermaid of Songkhla in Thailand before crossing the North-South border from Southern Thailand to Malaysia and continuing my adventures.

After crossing the Northern border from Thailand to Malaysia for the first time, I had another surprise. I was going to view a grape farm in Perlis! I never knew that Malaysia grew grapes. It’s only for domestic consumption so we don’t get to try them in Singapore.

Absolutely gorgeous view up on the summit of Gunung Jerai, Kedah, Malaysia, in the morning.

The lovely beachfront view outside my hotel balcony at Golden Sands Resort Shangri-la, Penang, Malaysia.

Penang was so hot but the colorful and beautiful umbrellas in the sky at the famous Chew jetty made my day!

Yummy nyonya cuisine at Auntie Gaik Lean’s old school eatery for lunch ! There were so many dishes that I couldn’t fit them all in the photo. I’m completely stuffed at every meal! Turning into a balloon by the end this trip.

Apart from the glorious food, I also love the rich culture and heritage that Penang, Malaysia is able to offer. It’s no wonder it’s listed as a UNESCO Heritage site.

Miss little nyonya and I at the Penang peranakan mansion. She’s a celebrity around these parts and so very sweet in person.

A quick stop @tedboybakery in KL to grab dessert and cookies before heading back to Singapore.

Raphael was spending time with my N.E.mation teams while I was away and organised Facetime calls so I could talk to them when I was on the go.

Where all the world champions gather! Evolve MMA opens their newest branch at Orchard Central. If you wanna learn how to fight, there isn’t a better place in Asia.

Was working intensely troubleshooting some issues at work and this cute and relaxing midday tea helped me get through the reports.

TGIF! After dinner coffee and dessert with Raphael, Regina and JW at Buck Tile St. Cafe. The horlicks tiramisu is so cute and comes with its own mini spade while the snowflake latte art reminded me that Christmas is on the way.

Airport OOTD. Off to Japan for a short trip!

One of my favourite places in the world to shop at is Shibuya 109 in Tokyo.

I went to the pop-up Hello Kitty Cafe in Tokyo, Japan. Everything was delicious and cute! They even have a small little apple to go with the apple pie!

Thanks for reading!
