There's no such thing as an unimportant day

I used to think a lot. About life… about who I am… the meaning of life and so on and so forth. But I grew older… grew busy and stopped thinking. Everyday I’ll wake up… look at my alarm clock… wished that time would move back so I could sleep an hour longer. I’ll work, meet my friends and family, eat, blog, pay bills, shop and collapse back in bed because I know it’s way passed my bedtime and I have not much time to rest and wake up to the same routine tomorrow. The ordinary activites has taken over… with any free time I have spent on short bouts of travel and holiday before I return to the same monotonous behavior.

One day, I woke up with a fantastic dream of me being a 3 year old and I felt so liberated! No responsibilities, no worries and most importantly I felt I had a million possibilities of how I could grow up to be. I knew no limits as a child and could be a princess or a rocket scientist or a rock star. Life is an adventure waiting to happen. And that powerful thought is inspiring. We are after all Homo sapiens which in latin means wise man or knowing man. When we forget to think and to dream… we for get to live our lives… we merely exist.

Plato said ideas rule the world. When we think of a feeling… we express it without even saying a word and when we focus on a thought it has the ability to bring us to new heights. I want to start each new day with a beautiful thought… to pursue my life knowing my direction. To become more of what I really am and achieve my potentials despite my imperfections. To weaken selfish bonds so I can soar to new heights.

“A man by thinking may change his character, which means changing his soul, which means changing his destiny, which means changing everything that he is or becomes in the present and in the future.” Gottfried de Purucker

On a different note, that very day I made my resolve I got a little lost while driving on errands for my sister. But instead of panic and irritation I took the opportunity to let life throw me a new adventure. I ended up in the Airforce Museum and had a pleasant detour looking at the fighter planes and helicopters. I would have never consider going in if I didn’t explore what life throws at me.

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.

Life is beauty, admire it.

Life is bliss, taste it.

Life is a dream, realize it.

Life is a challenge, meet it.

Life is a duty, complete it.

Life is a game, play it.

Life is a promise, fulfill it.

Life is sorrow, overcome it.

Life is a song, sing it.

Life is a struggle, accept it.

Life is a tragedy, confront it.

Life is an adventure, dare it.

Life is luck, make it.

Life is too precious, do not destroy it.

Life is life, fight for it.
