Summer Hits The Roof

The weather has been almost to the point of unbearable recently. And I’ve been passing my days in summer dresses and shorts. The thing with hot weather is that it limits your style choices… you can’t layer and even a one piece dress can feel too much sometimes.

Will pick a few favorites of mine in May 2008.

I love the purple combination… so rich yet subtle.

This is such an easy to work dress… cute and sassy yet the neutral color tones it down enough to carry it off at more formal situations.

I love the simple design of this blue and white stripes dress! Will bring to my tailor to crop and inch or two off though =)

Wore this on Mother’s Day. Having all red accessories never seems to go wrong.

The texture and detail on this dress is unbelievable but my camera can’t capture it well.

Too cute? Or just nice. I wanted to give a youthful vibe with the bubble shorts and ribbon hair band but hoped the rich green and formal structure of the blouse could make it more age appropriate.

This supre dress is a tad low cut for me but I love the fabric! Some bank personal trying to get me to sign up yet another credit card actually asked if I was above 18… I could faint… when I told him how old I really am it was his turn to faint. Granted I look a year or two younger than I really am cause of my petite frame but below 18 was a stretch.

This was a much longer dress that I altered really short. I wanted a dress for the hot summery weather that was more than just the usual cotton and tubes.

Will update more as I wear… give me your opinions so I can be inspired!
