Steamboat Night

I had a steamboat night at my place recently. It’s healthy and a wonderful way to spend time with friends.

Although it’s a healthy meal, we were all totally over stuffed! I think this seems to be the usual situation with dinner gatherings at my place! I need to be able to gauge the right amount of food better! I love the sliced shabu shabu pork and all the yong tau fu goodies! White or rose wine for some while I stuck to my serving of green tea.

How do u make your steamboat soup?

      Charmaine,

I’ll usually use fresh chicken or ikan billis stock. Just boil chicken bones or ikan billis in water for an hour or so over the stove and transfer to the steamboat when you are ready to start.
