The 7th day of CNY is known as Ren Ri and it’s the birthday of every human! It is believe in ancient Chinese legends that man was created on the 7th day of the Chinese New Year. And in the Singapore and Malaysia regions, it is the day where people would gather to “lao yu sheng”! I met Jolene, Regina and JW that day for dinner so we headed to Crystal Jade Restaurant to have our salmon yu sheng!And I think we over-ordered on the food that night so the next time I head to Crystal Jade I have to take note of the portions!
PS- in case you haven’t heard, Yu Sheng is a Singaporean originated dish!
