Pink Parlour and Skin79

Some time back I was invited by Pink Parlour and Skin79 to try out their products and services.

My 7pm pedicure appointment was at the Pink Parlour outlet at the basement of Liang Court. I’m sure most girls would have heard about Pink Parlour as they are pretty established in Singapore for their products and services; especially their nails and waxing services.

There were just so many colors to choose from but my final pink was OPI’s Mad Hatter! A very glittery sort of purple. I was absolutely in love with the color and I loved it so much on my toe nails that immediately after my session I messaged Melva of Nailvibe.com to ask if she has the color available for purchase! Unfortunately, it’s a limited edition color by OPI for the Alice In Wonderland collection and they have already stopped production. So if you want to try out the color do head down to Pink Parlour.

While I was aptly and luxuriously pampered with a lovely pedicure by Pink Parlour, Loraine from Skin79 was there on hand to let us try out the products and answer all our questions on Skin79. Although they have many ranges of BB creams to suit different skin types, the main focus of that day was their Oriental Series.

Skin79 is the first brand to come up with the idea of BB cream in Korea before all the other beauty brands recognized the potential and power of such a cream and came up with their own versions. They have been the top seller in Japan and Taiwan with Jolin Tsai being their brand ambassador. And we all know how the Japanese and Taiwanese are always in the forefront of beauty products!

What exactly is a BB Cream? Well, think of Skin79’s BB Cream as a time saving multi-tasking cream. Different ranges gives different benefits but they all help to brighten and protect the skin from harmful substances while giving a even complexion and hiding blemishes. You could wear it under your make up or just on it’s own!

The Oriental Gold BB Cream packs 10 beauty benefits in one jar and also comes with a lip and cheek cream in dusty rose on the lid. How thoughtful! You have your whole light makeup routine in a bottle!

I’ve awarded my blog winner of ClubCouture’s Who Wore It Best Contest the this full size Oriental Gold BB Cream and will look forward to her review.

The other girls that were short-listed have been sent their miniature BB creams from the hot pink and gold collection and I’ll post up their review here once they have tried it out.

My favorite is the Oriental Shimmering BB Cream. The shine and shimmer is gorgeous! It is made for the face but this pearlised BB cream is perfect to be used as a glowing bronzer!

Since I have been keeping to my promise of not putting any sort of makeup cream or powder on my face so instead of reviewing the BB Cream that has already won lots of worldwide acclaim and testimonials from bloggers and celebrities, I will be personally reviewing the Oriental Lifting Eye Controller instead. My review will be up together with the other girls on my blog in due time so look out for it!

I’m sure you noticed by now that Skin79 is not only interested in making your skin look flawless but to give your skin all the added boost it needs to remain flawless… with or without makeup. So other than their BB cream range, they also provide a professional skin care program. I really like their New Turn Therapy set. A set of 3 serums with fast absorbing properties to give you the necessary care whenever you need!

Thank you Skin79 and Pink Parlour for all the pampering!

I headed out to supper after my appointment before heading home and noticed this kitty! Doesn’t the big eyes and cute face reminds you of puss from Shrek?

The nail colour looks becoming on you! I found Mad Hatter in Metro (Causeway), OPI polishes section–sometime late June. Either that or you can try Sephora or BHG (Bugis). I am sure it’s still available. 😉

Pink Parlour targets well at bloggers as part of their marketing campaign. For non-bloggers, their service produced are not up to standard and not customer-centric at all.

      Mlynn,

Thanks for your info. I think it depends a lot on who does your nails. I’ve been to Pink Parlor once as a normal customer before this Skin79 workshop and found their service to be of standard. But I’m sure there are exceptions to any business.
