These photos are from some time back when I brought my mum out to celebrate her birthday.
I took her to Puggol Seafood at the Marina Country Club and Resort. Since I always get request for location I’m going to state down the address here : 600 Ponggol 17th Avenue S(829734)
The place is rather secluded and is best accessed by car or private transport. Punggol Seafood was established in the 1950s and I remember my parents bringing me here when I was little. Of course much has changed since then but I though it’ll be interesting for my mum to see the changes. My mum also is a big fan of seafood!
We had such a feast!!! And of course ordered their signature Mee Goreng. Their fried rice was really nice too… a tad oily but very tasty.
I didn’t eat the seafood but the feedback are that the black pepper crabs were much nicer then the chilli crabs.
Dessert was complimentary almond longan! Very refreshing after such a heavy dinner.
And now for the SURPRISE!!!!
I specially ordered a huge birthday cake for my mum. With mahjong (her favorite game) and lots of winning 4D, Toto and cash! Who wouldn’t want that!
I may not be able to give her a million dollars but when she saw the cake, she definitely looked like a million bucks!
Anyways, we all had a great time! Many of the restaurant staffs and customers seemed really amused by our cake as well. Here are a few close up shots.
And in case you were wondering, everything on the 3KG cake is edible! Made up of sugar paste or jelly. The quality of the cake isn’t as nice as 1-Caramel but it was still not bad.
And here’s my family! It’s a blessing to always be able to celebrate birthdays and special occasions as a family!
If you’re wondering why I look different in these photos, it’s because I flat iron straightened my hair. I just wanted to look different for a change 🙂
