After learning how to make yummy pineapple tarts from Sushi’s mum, I did a couple of batches on my own for my family and friends just before CNY. They were gobbled up pretty fast so only those friends who traveled to my place got to try it! Melva came on the day I baked them so other than those she ate at my place, she got an additional box to take home! It was a reward for the super long drive she took! LOL.
I made the pineapple filling from scratch and after cutting and grating the pineapples, it took about 4 hours of cooking over the stove for the pineapple jam to be ready. The dough for the base was easy enough and more time was spent molding and decorating which gets faster and easier with practice.
