I'll be seeing you in electric dreams

A couple of months back, Jolene organized an impromptu girls night out since I haven’t clubbed in ages! We wanted to relieve our old Mambo days and ironically, it will be the last Mambo in Zouk cause the “younger” generation doesn’t appreciate retro music much.

These pictures were all taken from the girls phones, I was surprised that the quality actually turned out not too bad.

We drank, danced, had fun and were mistaken for uni students! I guess that should count for more than a compliment since we are 80’s babies and we are all attached, married  and with some already having school-going kids.

I’m not much of a party animal but I glad I went and had one final mambo, watching the crowds dance with total co-ordinated hand gestures to songs like “Square Rooms”, “YMCA” and ” Never gonna give you up.” It’s a uniquely Singapore club ritual that is now going to be just an indication of how old I am. lol. Thanks girls for the memories.

Outfit of the day

I wanted something easy, comfortable and not slutty that day cause I had a dinner meetup and a couple of errands to run before mambo with the girls. One of the girls said that with  this attire, I look like one of the Wonder Girls.

      Hi Candy,

You can join the lesson to learn the basics. You don’t really need to be super creative for this! The owner can guide you and if you really run out of ideas, there are tons of scrapbooking magazines and books out there that can inspire you!
