From French boulanger to ballet shoes

I just had to try out Poilane bakery! Poilâne is most famous for a round, two-kilogram sourdough country bread referred to as a  pain Poilâne. Poilâne is perhaps one of the most famous names in the baking industry today and every step of the baking process is still done by hand today in wood burning ovens. If sourdough is not your cup of teas, I will highly recommend trying the Punitions – a short bread cookie. I bought a huge box of heart shaped ones and finished them all up with tea!

Another place I had to stop by was Repetto! Created in 1947 by Rose Repetto, at the request of her son dancer and choreographer Roland Petit, Repetto sells hand sewn ballet shoes.  The good thing is that you don’t have to be a ballerina to wear them. They are absolutely comfortable and so well constructed!
