DHC Moisture Fruit Skincare

One of the perks of being a Watsons Ambassador is being able to try out all the hot new beauty and health products on the market. I’m sure you all already know how well stock Watsons are and how fast they adapt to the market.

This DHC Moisture Fruit range comes in a super pretty pink packagings and uses natural fruit extracts as their main ingredients to give you supple and soft skin! This series was once only available exclusively in Japan but Watsons managed to bring them to Singapore this year so we can get them locally as well.

DHC Moisture Fruit Foaming Wash contains 100% natural essential oils and the content of kiwi, apple, peach, grapefruit and raspberry fruit extracts to increase moisture and add firmness to the skin while cleansing without over drying.

I’ve always loved self-foaming cleaners. I love how I can press out a perfect blob of foam and proceed to immediately wash my face instead of having to mix cleanser and water to create foam.  There are lots of debates going around about whether foam or non-foam cleansers are better.

Here’s my take. As long as you are using the right range of skincare for your face, it doesn’t really matter a great deal. Creating a foamy texture with your cleanser helps to allow the bubbles to ‘lift’ off more dirt from your face. It tends to be great for those with oily or combination skin as foaming cleansers clean very thoroughly.  As long as you put on lotion/toner and moisturizer after, you can be assured that your skin is balanced and will be soft and supple.

If your skin is dry or whenever I’m in a dry climate (like spending winter overseas) I will generally go for milk or cream cleansers as they will leave a film of additional moisture which helps protect my skin in such drying conditions.

Singapore is a humid country and DHC Moisture Fruit skincare range works great with our climate. In fact, my skin didn’t even feel tight at all after washing with the foaming wash!

Next step will be the DHC Moisture Fruit Lotion. It’s called a lotion instead of a toner because a toner helps to close up your pores but a lotion is a lot more moisturizing and doesn’t close your pores as a lot of the Japanese brands believe that in order for your skin to absorb the ingredients and benefits of the moisturizers or serums, you need to soften the pores instead of closing them.

The last step is the DHC Moisture Fruit Gel Cream. Good for all skin types, I’ve been using this as my night cream and I love how soft my skin feels in the morning! It absorbs into my skin very easily and my skin retains the moisture very well even on a very drying long airplane flight.

Just like the rest of the products in the range, everything smells like citrus fruits which is great! This whole very lovely pink kawaii set is available at your nearest Watsons store. With a price range of $19.90 to $23.90 it’s affordable to get the whole set.

Additional update : My gal pal who came over to my place to collect some of my old dresses gave them a try and immediately set out to get a whole set to use. She’s in love with the textures and smell.
