Concert in the Park 2009

After the little day trip of Sentosa, Mount Faber and Vivocity, I thought I’ll bring my parents to have a night of picnic and music at Fort Canning. My sister wasn’t interested so she headed back early.

This music event under the stars was organised by Gold90.5 and their band lineup was fantastic! They played songs from Boney M to Coldplay. Of course there were also lots of Micheal Jackson songs as it was during the time when the whole world was morning the loss of the King of Pop.

The whole park was packed with people of all ages and races… all armed with picnic mats, drinks and tidbits. I had my banana milk and strawberry drink for the night!

Special appearances that night include Laura Fygi, Douglas O and Friends, Wynne Sanddosham from Soul Circle, Jive Talkin’ and Claressa Monteiro. All talented musicians and first rate performers.

Their infectious vibes and contagious enthusiasm coupled with the addictive music got everyone in the park up and dancing! And that includes my parents!

It was great to see everyone let loose and just enjoy the good music. I think when the concert came to an end, my parents were a tad disappointed.
