Batam Getaway

I had a short get away to Batam Island previously. The cheaper cousin of Bintan. It was such a last minute decision to go but it all worked out pretty well.

We took the earliest Batam Fast ferry so it was at 6am that I drove down to Harbourfront and parked my car in the absolutely deserted Vivocity car park. After meeting Gio, Clara, Pierluca and Elena to settle all the immigration formalities, we got on the fast craft and headed to Indonesia.

We booked our stay at Harris Resort which has really warm and friendly service. Checking through custom was a breeze and we all absolutely loved the home baked welcome butter cookies at the hotel front desk. Seriously, once you start with these babies… it’s hard to stop. Especially if you haven’t had breakfast!

Upon learning that we had yet to have breakfast, the Harris staff immediately offered to seat us next door for a complimentary buffet breakfast. How sweet right?

There were others like eggs and sausages… but I only took pictures of the ones I took… hehe.

Heading down to the cabanas area to check our rooms out.

We had some rest and relax time to check out the hotel and pool before heading out to our next activity!

Loved the super wide shaded pool side lounge seating. Its just slightly smaller than a queen size bed!

Here’s our video of the start of the trip… I’ll put up more photos once I’ve done work on the other videos!
