An interview with Yarney Barney

Yarney Barney is such a fun cohesive bunch and I really enjoyed getting to know them better. Their team seems to be enjoying the whole production process. They have found their comfort zone despite the heavy work schedule by figuring out unique creative outlets to de-stress through playing monopoly deal, playing on violins ,snacking or scheduling exercises.

Yarney Barney also love to decorate their “crib” with the cutest drawings which gives their tent a very cosy feel. The Yarney Barney crib contains their very own aquarium that even houses a shark!!! I love how teams have been given the creative freedom to decorate their tent or do any other activities in between their work. Reminds you of the working philosophies of big creative think tanks like google doesn’t it?

During my visit there, the girls from Yarney Barney infected me with their theme song : ” Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows”.  Now every time I see a unicorn or a rainbow, this song is going to be popping up uninvited into my head. lol. This is just an example of how infectious their craziness is.  It’s great because that pretty much how I am as well when I work on a stressful project. I can totally relate!

But it’s not all just fun and games. These girls are also very dedicated and have worked very hard tracing live actors, frame by frame, for their animation. Just hearing their detailed job process is enough to make any lesser man run or at least turn cocked- eyed! Luckily these girls are made of steel, sprinkled with unicorn magic and rainbow dust so nothing fazes them.

You’ve got to see these girls live to feel their awesome vibe and since it’s too dangerous to visit them (read their sign below), I did the honors for you.

You can learn more about them through the short little video interview I had with them. Look out for their fluffy pink unicorn song in the video! I’m humming that tune as I’m typing this!
