A special invitation…

Came home one day after work to a special package delivered to my home!

The moment I looked at the box, I knew it must be the invitation Jessie sent me for the Emirates Singapore Derby 2012! If you remember, I had an amazing time at the Singapore Turf Club Emirates Derby Cup 2011 last year! ( You can read all about it here!)

I opened the box and on a pretty card is my invite. I love the sketch drawing which portrays all the fashion and glamour that Emirates Singapore Derby promises to bring year after year!

And the surprise that came with the invite? A really cool binoculars! Now I’m all set to view the horses when I attend the Emirates Singapore Derby 2012 which is happening this Sunday on the 15th July 2012!

In case you still don’t know what the Emirates Singapore Derby is about, it is a time-honored classic on the Singapore racing calendar where top racing action and glamour come together every year.  Apart from witnessing the exhilarating action on-track of some of Singapore’s top horses, horse racing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to soak in the inimitable glitz and glamour of the Derby racing fashion. With ladies in gorgeous gowns accompanied by their chic head-gear, and gentlemen in their smartest Sunday suits and flamboyant hats, the Derby promises to be a colorful visual fashion spectacular here in Singapore.

I’m definitely going to be there and if you want some slice of the action this Sunday, you can too!

Emirates Singapore Derby Marquee Package is on sale at $88 per pax or $108 per pax if you want free flow of wine and beer. You’ll get admission to the Marquee, buffet lunch, Racebook, exclusive Emirates souvenirs and complimentary charm bracelet for ladies. So it’s really quite an exciting day out for friends who want to be in the midst of the excitement while getting to watch and bet on the live horse race!

Love your scarf. Where is it from? Was the Emirates Derby fun?

      Hi Summer,

Thanks, the scarf and the jacket are actually attached as one piece though they can be detached and used separately as well. It’s from D & G. Emirates Derby was so much fun and I’ll blog about it in a week or so!
