Visiting Sushi during confinement

Zhuo Yue or literally ” sit month” is a Chinese practice whereby the mother and newborn are confined within the house and cannot go out for 30 days after delivery. I supposed that’s why they call it confinement month. Sushi had a confinement nanny to help cook her meals and take care of her baby so that they would gain strength and be healthy before braving the elements of the world outside their cozy home. But since she couldn’t leave her home, I went over to visit both her and my godson Leonidas! Sushi heard that I had baked macaroons and wanted some as they were her favourite! So I brought her only a few macaroons as I wasn’t sure if it was allowed as part of the confinement diet. Sushi ate them all anyways! LOL.
