{Travelling Tuesday} Cafe Jemme, Bali

Hello,

I’m starting to schedule my travel posts every Tuesday as travel has been a large part of my life and I’ve got so much that I want to share on my blog. Somehow, I never get round to it because I’m constantly excited about new events or trying out new products. Creating a fixed day for my backdated travel posts will be a constant reminder for me to share more about my passion for travel on a regular basis.

Currently, I’ve just completed my last work project and was looking forward to being “work-free” for a month or so and take a nice break until after my birthday. Somehow, my “work-free” days aren’t looking so free anymore as I’ve got tons of housework and backlog blog posts to catchup with. Still, I suppose this is a sort of work-life balance I should be grateful for compared to many others. I’ll also be working on my online earrings store, Embellish, with a full introduction and photos coming up in this month. Of course, I’ll be happy for you go ahead and check it out first.

Meanwhile, for this first installment of {Travelling Tuesday} I’ll be share some old photos of a day out with friends to Cafe Jemme in Bali. It’s a little boutique cafe and fine jewelry store at Jalan Petitenget, Bali.

This beautifully decorated restaurant overlooks the surrounding rice fields, making it lovely and relaxing place to have  an intimate lunch with a couple of friends.

With lots of interesting lighting and mirror surfaces, the restaurant’s decor is only one of the reasons why I like Cafe Jemme. The main reason for my positive experience with Cafe Jemme is the staff’s super attentive and professional treatment of their customers.

While it’s slightly pricey for Bali standard, the food and drinks here are pretty good. It’s probably even less than what you would pay for a cafe or a restaurant of the same standard in Singapore.

To give you an idea of the cuisine, the above 3 photos shows the meal I had and it was really good. If you were wondering, I generally have a huge appetite but even with that, I couldn’t have finished such a huge array of desserts after the main course and soup. We had ordered a dessert tasting platter to share among us as everyone was pretty stuffed after having their appetizers and main courses.

After our gorgeous meal, we wandered over to their fine jewelry boutique next door to have a peek.

If you are looking for a special memento to buy in Bali or a nice stylish place for a meal, you can give Cafe Jemme a try.

Hope you like my little travel sharing and look forward to more soon.
