Have you ever tried Oldenlandia Water?
Personally, I’ve yet to try it. I’ve been told by friends and family that this drink helps bring down “heatiness” and can help cure sore throats, fever, detoxify and help with digestion.
Sounds like miracle water to me!
Description of the taste are along the lines of refreshing, mineral water with a tinge of sweetness. Although the original herb is one of the more bitter herbs in Chinese medicine.
The Chinese name is Bai Hua She Cao Shui which translates into White Flower Snake Grass Water. Oldenlandia when used externally supposedly can cure toxic snake bites and treat sores.
It sounds too good to be true but since this drink has been in the market for 40 years, there must be some benefits to it. Or at least I know there won’t be any side effects. So the next time someone orders this drink… maybe I’ll take a sip. =)
Oh, I drink it when I feel a sore throat coming (due to ‘heatiness’). It works–not wonders, but sure nip the issue in the bud if it’s not serious.
Taste like Schwepps’ tonic water with a hint of ‘herbal’ taste. I know some people take the leaves and soak them in hot water to make this on their own. =)

Ivy,
Thanks for your feedback. I guess it’ll be a pretty useful drink for the Christmas and New Year season then… since I prone to getting sore throats.

I like to drink it since I was a child as my mum said, the best cure for fever. No am 49 years old and still drink it if I have sore throat. It works on me.
Sometimes mum knows best!
