Nail Vibe and Stellar Opening

Just recently, I attended the store opening of Nail Vibe and Stellar. Nail Vibe (nailvibe.com) opened by my friend Melva, has been a very reputable online store for nail polishes for quite awhile already and she has recently expanded her to a brick and mortar store to cater to walk in retail crowds!

Stellar, the other side of the store is managed by Fiona and deals with trendy apparels and accessories for both retail as well as wholesales. What a perfect match!

They had a wonderful turn out for their opening with family, friends and regular clients all eager to celebrate with them. Gorgeous cupcakes dress up with motifs of dresses and nail polishes, lots of champagne and for those who drove there, you could switch your bubblies for yummy KOI bubble tea!

At the auspicious hour, the unveiling of the store sign by the 2 girls! Yay!!!

I love the pink skirt that the two owners wore that day! So bright and fitting! I ended up doing what I do best… shopping! Bought clothes and nail polishes and I’ll definitely be back for more!

I was helping Melva look after her store for one of the weekends when she was out of town so some of you might have spotted me there! I never knew there were so many shades of nail polish colors out there! I got a few for my upcoming trips cause they were so much cheaper then getting them from the usual retail stores. Around $10.90 a bottle for OPI if you buy 3 or more.

Here I am with the 2 very pretty, very talented and very entrepreneurial owners, Melva and Fiona. Wishing them all the best in their business! Yay to more cheap and good clothes and nail polishes!

Chanced upon this blog post of yours as my friend was referring blog shops to me. I am afraid that you are extremely mistaken about NailVibe. Saying that it has fallen short of business efficacy would be an understatement. The packaging of the nail polishes is irresponsible, and has caused breakage during mail. When I informed NailVibe of this mistake on their part, they declined all responsibility, and refused to replace the nail polish.

Subsequently, I gave NailVibe 2 more chances, and was disappointed in both occasions, during which I was made to pay for nail polishes that were not in stock. In replying my emails regarding my disappointment in the lack of fulfillment, the emails were insincere and once again lacked responsibility in any part for the frustration caused.

I feel strongly about this as the least that a business can do is deliver the goods that it has received payment for.

The intention of this is just to inform you that probably your blog post publicizing such an inadequate business venture might reflect badly.

      Hi Jeanne,

Sounds like you really had a pretty bad experience. This post was a long time back and Nailvibe has long shifted to China Square. So far I haven’t encountered breakage or any communication problems when I purchased with them so I can only write based on my own experiences with them. Hopefully you managed to find a better place to get your products.

Hi Renzze, I totally agree with Jeanne. NailVibe is by far the worst vendor I have ever come across in my relatively active online shopping experience. This was my experience with them: They sell and accept payment for items that they do not have in stock, then blame it on their supplier for the delay, stating it is not their fault but their supplier’s. Then, after 2 weeks of waiting, delivered the wrong item to me. Instead of doing service recovery when I called them, they insisted that I should send back the wrong item before they would send me the correct one. All this while, they did acknowledge that it was their mistake for sending me the wrong item, but not once did I hear the word ‘sorry’. It was: ‘ oh, I think my girls packed the wrong item’. When I was angry and request for them to send me my purchased item, she turned around and said that I was being difficult. In the end, I was given 2 options: either send back wrong item first before they send me the correct one; or, to go to their shop at China Sq personally to do an exchange. The above were via email, and I still have the soft and hard copy if you want, and the thing is, the person I was dealing with was Melva, your good friend.

Hi Renzze, sorry if I sounded harsh, but I get upset every time I recall my experience with them. I hope you are not offended by my saying that she is your ‘good’ friend, anyway, it’s just a bottle of polish, no big deal. I have found other better place to order my nail products. Thanks for giving me a chance to let you know of my experience.
