I generally don’t put my dogs at pet hotels when I travel… I leave them with friends cause I’ve seen the pet in terrible conditions at the pet hotels… at the end of the day it’s just a cage with food and water for them. I can’t bear leaving my darlings in such conditions. There is only one alternative I consider leaving my pets should my friends be unavailable which is a home run pet sitter. They give your pet a lot of attention and it has a very homely environment with free rein to play indoors or out on in their gardens. But they are privately operated so they don’t have that many slots so book early! You can check them out here http://themilkbone.blogspot.com/
