I was in Australia for quite awhile in July and one of the little treasures I found while I was in Melbourne is Miss Fox. For anyone who wants to look fabulous while taking a trip to Melbourne, this is a must visit place! They have the most quintessential beauty and wellness solutions and is a great one-stop salon for all your needs!
Located in the heart of Melbourne city, it means that you don’t have to look very far to get yourself primed up for the day ahead. It’s the sort of luxury that you should include in your holiday schedule! Besides feeling pampered from head to toe (hair, brows makeup, facial, massages, tanning, waxing, spa, weigh loss) you’ll have the perfect hair and makeup in your holiday photos!
My favorite has got to be the blow dry bar. It just starts from AUD35 for a wash, blow dry and style and you come out feeling like a million bucks! If you buy 5 blow dry’s you get one free and you’ll have perfect hair everyday throughout your whole holiday! My personal recommendation is to get the amazing Luna Lita to do your hair and makeup. She is probably Melbourne’s best kept secrets! I absolutely love the vintage makeover she did for me and my blow dry lasted for at least 3-4 days! I can’t explain what an amazing feeling it is to be able to wake up with good hair day every morning! I wished I could bring her back to Singapore with me!
Luna Lita’s portfolio is impressive and her skills has been seen in many editorial works in many magazines such as Elle and Vogue! She does bridal makeup and hair as well so those brides-to-be that are intending to get their pre-wedding photos taken in Melbourne, you just have to book her in advance instead of flying your local makeup artist over! It’ll save you a bomb from incurring the extra airfare and hotel stay! Just see her work in the bridal fashion catwalk below! And because Luna has worked all over the world including Asia, you don’t have to worry that she doesn’t know how to work with Asian hair or faces!
Other than models and fashion shows, she has done makeup and hair for several international celebrities including Maggie Q, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman. Besides editorial, she done hair and makeup for film shoots with famous directors such as David LaChapelle’s “Tis The Season to be Gorgeous” ( a huge UK Boots Christmas television campaign), Mike Figgis’s “Robbery” (a Breil Campaign) and director Micheal Haussman for Justin Timberlake’s MTV ” Sexyback” just to name a few.
