As I mentioned in my previous post about N.E.mation! 8, I am going to be supporting and following 2 of the N.E.mation! 8 finalist team closely during their production phase. Let me do a brief introduction about each team so that you can journey together with them on their quest to succeed as well! In this post, you’ll learn more about Team Alpacalypse #NE8C01
The first team I’m introducing is my really charming team called “Alpacalypse”. The four girls from CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girl’s School that form the team are Tricia Ong, Tan Xiao Tong, Grace Phua and Sheryl Chua.
I’m not sure if you’ve figured it out yet but their team mascot is an Alpaca. The cutest most adorable alpaca ever and after spending some time with the mascot, I’m starting to fall in love too!
There is an undeniable connection between these girls that makes everyone feels at ease. Spending time with them triggers a sense of nostalgia of myself (decades upon decades ago) when I was once in an all girls school and was constantly doing nonsense with my fellow pals. Of course in those bygone eras, N.E.mation! was unheard of but I’m pretty sure that if it was available, I’ll be signing up for it with my girlfriends. I’m tempted to say these kids don’t know how good they’ve got it but that would not be true because they do know what an awesome opportunity they have on their hands and they are working really hard towards it.
Despite their goofy exterior and strange de-stressing methods (more of that on another post) these girls are both intelligent and creative. They absorb new technical know-hows like a sponge and can apply them immediately to churn out unbelievably delightful animations. Did I mention that their animation is based on their own original music composition and lyrics?
I can’t share too much about what their animation clip is about because I need to keep the element of surprise going but be prepared to be wowed in January!
