Horse Riding In Bali

Readers beware: Photo-intensive post… so be patient and wait for them to load.

If you know the way I travel… then you would most likely know that I love to ride horses and I would almost never miss a chance to go horseback riding on my trips!

This wouldn’t be my first time riding in Bali… and I was at the exact same black sand beach the last time around too. Except at that time they didn’t even have any stables up… now the company is much more established.

.

The riding trail took us on the beach and to a bat cave… the guide grabbed one off this little fellows off the side of the cavern for a picture… the poor bat.

After which we went up to the cliff top to admire the gorgeous views of the ocean. The crashing waves were such a powerful yet soothing sight. On the top of the cliff.. a little village temple can be found.

Next up is a slow ride through the village. They have such a simple life that is quite a blessing by itself. The children were running up and down the sides of the roads and almost everyone was happy to see us… waving hello to me on the horse.

Sometimes city life in Singapore can get too hectic.. and you wish you could get away from it all. Grow your own vegetables… milk the cows and just enjoy nature and all it provides for you. I seriously wouldn’t mind just living like this for a month or two… to give my life so breathing space… away from the rat race.

I was happily snapping pictures while on the horse… Snapped pictures of the kids who were waving and shouting hello to me too but the pictures came out blur… probably cause I was moving too much.

Other then certain steep uphill and downhill slopes… I had to ride the horse across a river. It turned out to be quite deep and i got wet up to the thighs even though I was sitting high up on the horse! My Lady horse… yes…. her name is Lady… was very good and easy to ride so I felt really safe.

Back at the stables there was this baby monkey. I’m not a monkey lover in general but this baby one is really cute. He’s almost like a human baby but way more mischievous. He kept grabbing my fingers and he’ll cling on me even when I throw him aside… lol… he’s really good with that. He wanted to drink my sprite too! So he toppled the bottle and slurped what was spilled on the table.
