Disneyland Hong Kong 2009

I was at Disneyland Hong Kong in 2008 as well… and if you read my post then… you might remember me saying that I was disappointed and wouldn’t want to go back there unless I had kids. But I did go back! This time with my disney fanatic sister and I think she made Disneyland fun for me though I still think nothing can beat Disney world in Orlando.

It was clicking of the camera all the way the moment we arrived! Janice was so excited about the whole place it was really hard not to let her hyper uplifting aura infect me.

I love my sister’s Ed Hardy Geisha boots!

The day started out really sunny and warm… though the temperatures dropped quite drastically as the day passed… luckily I was all layered so I could adjust accordingly.

The main show was based on High School Musical which I don’t really fancy. I’m old fashioned in that way… give me the story book princesses any day over cheerleaders.

The kiddy rides were just as fun as the not so kiddy ones. I haven’t really sat in the kiddy rides in a long time… I tend to head for the thrilling roller coasters every time I’m in a theme park.

The tea cups were my sister’s favorite ride when she was young and I totally hated it! She’d turn the cup with such enthusiasm and force that I could walk straight when the cups stop. So this time I chose to sit in my own cup… away from her madness!

I have to admit that having a cooler and less humid level made Disneyland Hong Kong more enjoyable for me. The last trip was in the hot summer months that was humid and totally unbearable!

Lunch was at Sleeping Beauty’s castle. The food is not bad though not as tasty as what you get outside. We had our fill before heading out to take photos with the disney characters! Pluto is my fave! He’s just so adorable! My sister’s fave has got to be Stitch! We went all around the park just looking for him.

Disneyland always has ” The Small World”. The song is annoyingly irritating but it keeps repeating in your head. The dolls in the ride were pretty well done though!

Then there were these amazing guys that made cool music using cleaning stuff! Real talented and funny too!

I fell in love with this red mickey scarf and had to add it to my collection of Disney souvenirs!

We ended the day with fireworks at the castle and last minute shopping. The crowd buying and queuing was insane… and it was more or less to be expected.

A video of the day in Disneyland so you can share the moment with me.
