Birthday Nails at Passion

This year I celebrated my birthday rather quietly with some small meetups for dinners and having my main birthday dinners out of the country. The day before I was heading out of town for my birthday, Regina and I headed down to Passion Nails at Far East Plaza for a relaxing session to do a full pedicure and manicure session. Finding time out to do my nails or hair has always been a luxury for me so  it was great that I had a good friend along to chat and catch up with the whole day!

I’ve tried a couple of other nail salons at Far East Plaza but this is probably the first one I’ve tried that had a comfortable massage chair to give a body massage while doing my mani and pedi. Each of us was assigned to 2 manicurist each so that we could have our manicure and pedicure done simultaneously and save time!

They even had a jacuzzi bath for the feet so it would bubble  away all the stress from your feet. I snapped the photo before the jacuzzi reached it’s full force. When the jacuzzi reached the peak of its bubbling,  the whole tub would have rotating colored lights. A little cheesy but very fun!

I choose a light pink with hearts nail polish for my toenails and a simple pink and white design for my fingernails. I dutifully applied some sunblock on my hands first as I was going to be doing gel nails and wanted to protect my hands from the UV rays that I’ll be exposed to.

We were both super relaxed! My gel nails only took 30 seconds to set each time. Super fast and super good! I even added white acrylic bows to top it off and the nails are sooooo lasting! The manicurist had really good service too!

Even Regina who didn’t do the gel version, said her nails really lasted for very long. I love it when my nails last until I choose to change them instead of them looking crummy and forcing me to make time to change or remove them before I’m ready.

Here are both Regina and my designs. Mine are pink with white polka dots and bows in gelish while Regina had pink and white polka dots alternating with flowers using just regular polish cause she didn’t want to have to do a soak off for gelish nails.

After my relaxing afternoon at Passion Nails salon, we had a little tea session with Haren before Yitian came to pick us up for dinner!

We went to one of my favorite haunts which is the PS Cafe at Dempsey.

We chatted for the longest time over a very filling dinner. I had my truffle fries on top of it all which left me really satisfied. But the girls had a surprise for me.

I kept wanting to order desserts but the girls kept delaying me and then just when I was about to ask the waiter for the dessert menu, I realized that the waiter was holding a little birthday cake for me!

Super sweet and unexpected. Thanks girls! And thank you Yitian for the treat! Hopefully we can find time to have dinner like this again next year when we are all back in Singapore. *muacks* Oh yes and we also need to plan our little getaway too!

I’ve learnt that the company you surround yourself with is one of the most precious and important aspect of good living. I’m really blessed to have such wonderful friends even though I’m always busy.

Outfit of the day

This is one of my favorite dresses because there are lots of beadings in the florals which I forgot to take a close up of to show you. It’s a simple cut but very comfortable and easy to wear.
