Beware the barrenness of a busy life

Socrates made the statement “Beware the barrenness of a busy life.” and I can totally see where he is coming from. While I’m thankful for the fullness of my life and the many blessings that have been bestowed upon me making my life busy, I also recognize that many a time we get too busy and caught up in life for the wrong reasons.

So despite my mad schedule, I will always take time out for my family and for my friends. Especially now that I’m back in Singapore for awhile. I’ll still have to work of course (bills don’t pay by themselves) and there are a million and one errands to run but quality of life is more important. If I have to sleep in a little more or grab drinks with my girls or take a walk with my dogs who miss me then I would just have to sacrifice a few projects to make it happen. Money can be earned but time can only be lost.

I will still be blogging and catching up on all the things I meant to blog months ago but never had the time but I may not be able to answer and respond to each and every email or comment… I’ll try when I can. Instead for my readers, I’ll focus my spare time on organizing more contests, prizes and special treats!

Now, excuse me while I tuck into my yummy Char Siew Rice lunch.

I like that : Beware the barreness of a busy life.
Something that I have to think about in between my very busy, yet barren lifestyle…
