Arielle's 1st Birthday

On the day that Arielle turned one, I was having a sudden onset of high fever and wasn’t feeling too well. But I couldn’t miss little Arielle’s first birthday especially since Bernice was such a close friend and I had promised her to help her take photos of Arielle’s party.

So I donned on a party frock and washed down the fever with 2 Panadols. So except for the few photos that I took with the birthday girl, I tried as much as possible to stay away from the kids and in the background taking photos.

Children are a good reminder on how time flies! One of my oldest friends, Bernice, was the first among our trio to become a mummy. And it only seemed a blink of an eye ago that I sang karaoke with the then preggy Bernice and her hubby, Kelvin. Fast forward a year later, I’m singing Happy Birthday to her one year old girl, Arielle. It sure doesn’t feel like one year has passed to me but Arielle, now walking and eating solids, is a clear proof that time has flown past me again.

Arielle is such a pretty little girl! And she’s constantly clinging on to Bernice or Kelvin. Despite her shyness, Arielle is very active and is learning about the world around her at an astonishing rate!

Her 1st birthday is Sesame Street theme as she loves Elmo! At the age of one, she loves things that start with “ba” such as, BALL, BARNEY, BALL, BALLOON, BANANA!

Bernice did a wonderful job with the decorations! I love Arielle’s specially customized “onederful” tee, the cute sesame street goodie bags, balloons, banners and my favorite party favor is the customized pencils  that is engraved with the words ” Arielle is One today!”

When the 3 layered fondant birthday cake and cupcakes came out! Even I gasped with excitement! The cake was so beautifully done and I always have such a soft spot for gorgeous desserts!
