Met with my little sister, Janice for tea at Antoinette, Mandarin Gallery. I usually go to the branch near Kitchener Road but the one at Mandarin Gallery was also really cozy.
My sister had lots of little gifts prepared for me to thank me for the things I’ve done for her and for giving her some of my handbags. She was (and always is) super excitable and practically bouncing all over the place! Usually when we meet up, my parents are also around so she gets extra happy when she has me all to herself to update me on her life and to ask for advice.
She’s been working for quite awhile and usually I’m the one spending on her so the sweet little girl got me these gifts to let me know that she thinks of me and loves me lots. I especially love the Smamntha Thavasa mirror bag charm she got for me. I am not a huge fan of that brand so I don’t normally take note of what items they have in store. But my sister said that this bag charm is a limited edition piece and there was only one piece available locally. As much as she loved it, she was determined to give it to me as a gift. I’m really touched and this bag charm has found a permanent home on one of my Prada bags.
I love my little sis even though sometimes she drives me up the wall. She may be a little childish at times but it also highlights her innocent childlike personality. Her easily excitable demeanor and positive mindset allows her to appreciate the simple things in life and spread joy to others. I tend to the more serious one in the family and it’ll do me some good to have her lightheartedness rub on on me from time to time 🙂
