Ujene Switzerland

I’m sure if you’ve read my previous skincare reviews you’ll know that I normally take a minimum of two weeks to a month to try out a skincare range before I do a full review so that I can verify the benefits gained from the product. There have been several skincare lines that I’ve not blogged about after trying them out because they didn’t do anything good for my skin. It doesn’t help that I have naturally sensitive skin so some brands that works well for others may have chemicals that are too harsh for my skin.

I’ve tried Ujene for close to 3 weeks now and I’m full of praises for this brand!

Most of the world’s most luxurious and high quality skincare originates from Switzerland and Ujene is no different. The range is called PURISTE COLLAGEN. Containing OVILUXE™, the main feature  of this range  is the incredible  99.9% purity collagen. It is the finest grade  you can find in the market which has been tested and recommended by dermatologists as ‘a very good moisturizer’. Rediscover that sublimely youthful bounce in your skin!

I was given their day cream, serum and eye gel to try out and I’ll go into details on the benefits and personal experiences of each one.

The day cream is the first step to youthful skin.

The Ujene Puriste Collagen Day Cream is formulated with skin-identical natural lipids of purest botanical origin, mimicking skin’s natural oils for maximum bioavailability and absorption of OVILUXE^TM benefits. The Puriste Collagen Day Cream also boasts of Aldeluxe^TM, the first-ever ingredient to combat Reactive Carbonyl Species, a type of free radical more damaging than ROS, that causes oxidative stress and cellular damage. This proprietary active is also proven to boost Collagen III production by up to 300% in just 7 days. In simple words, this day cream helps to replace all the collagen fibers that has been damaged by any exposure to the sun. The sun is the most harmful thing for your skin and it is the leading cause of fine lines and wrinkles. Chockfull of benefits from grapeseed and apricot kernel oils, the Puriste Collagen Day Cream instantly melts into skin to stimulate turnover of dead skin for ultra-soft, smooth and brighter complexion. A lot of the super power packed creams out there are a little on the heavy side and in the hot humid weather in Singapore, heavy creams feels almost like slapping cooking oil on your skin. I’m glad that this cream absorbs pretty fast and moisturizes my skin without feeling heavy or causing and oil bumps to appear on my skin.

Next, we have the  Ujene PURISTE COLLAGEN Serum.

Lavishly flushed with ample flavonoids, saponins, micronutrients, anti-oxidants and polysaccharides, the Ujene Puriste Collagen Serum contains a generous dose of 10% active OVILUXE^TM, reviving skin’s innate youth for a natural facelift. Unlike many serums in the market, Puriste Collagen Serum does not contain alcohol. Alcohol is often used in serums as it evaporates quickly, creating the illusion of rapid absorption by skin. In fact, alcohol evaporates not only the product but also essential moisture in skin, causing dryness, flakiness, wrinkles, sensitivity and is one of the top causes of skin irritation. This is one of the reasons why I love this serum!

The bottle looks small but just a drop or two would be enough each time so I can expect this bottle to last for quite some time. More than most serums would actually. This potent serum contains Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, as well as finest grade botanical extracts including Ginseng and Aloe Vera to instantly soak into skin, firming, refining and brightening skin complexion with anti-oxidant nourishment and long-lasting youthfulness. You can use this serum day and night after cleansing and before putting on the day cream but I usually only put it on at night cause I generally hate piling on layers before I head out of the house. I don’t have much time in the morning and I need a fast routine to get out of the house asap. In fact, when I was younger, multiple skincare steps were an absolute pain. However, after having to sample beauty ranges and putting dedication to the routine, I realized that my skin does look and feel so much better. With a combination of taking Skinbiotics and Ujene’s range, I feel that my skin has started to take on a slight dewy glow especially obvious when I have no makeup or very light makeup on.

The Serum is retailing at USD120 which is considered a steal when compared to other brands serums that has high quality ingredients. If you want to only try one item in this range, make that the serum.

Last but not least, Ujene PURISTE COLLAGEN Eye Gel.

The Ujene Purist Collagen Eye Gel is a precise blend of efficacious eye actives, an ample dose of OVILUXE^TM and an advanced tetrapeptide,Eryluxe^TM, clinically proven to reduce puffy eyebags in just 14 days. Eryluxe^TM has exceptional action against collagen glycation and consequent loss of skin elasticity, coupled with anti-oedema effect for effective prevention against problematic eye bags and puffiness. Skin around eyes would appear smoother, brighter and fewer fine lines with actives likeRhodiola Rosea, Madecassoside and Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. Potent antioxidant and cell-communicating ingredient, like Vitamin C and B3, also ensure the skin around your eyes are well-protected against free radicals and noxious environmental elements.

The gel texture once again makes this very easy to absorb. I don’t have puff eyebags so I couldn’t test their 14 days clinical results. I do feel that the skin around my eyes are moisturized well and I did not get any milia seeds around my eyes after using for 3 weeks. I’m pretty prone to oil seeds if I use any eye cream that is too oily or heavy for my delicate skin around the eyes. But this worked well enough for me. I love the cooling gel texture and if you are looking for a light eye cream that will absorb fast without causing your eye-makeup to melt away then this is quite a good bet.
