I can’t believe I never got round to blogging about the Singapore Airlines Cup that I attended at the Singapore Turf Club. It was a smaller and more cozy group of bloggers and friends which made it all the more fun!
My plus one that night was Sushi! She has been wanting to attend a Singapore Turf Club event with me after seeing all the posts I’ve been putting up on my blog in the last year so I’m glad she had fun!
A large part of the photos that you are seeing in this blog post (those without watermarks) have been kindly rendered by William Tan. He’s a wonderful photographer and always full of enthusiasm.
We were treated to a night of festivities, fantastic horse racing and food.
Ususally for event such as the Singapore Airlines Cup, we would be invited as guests at the Marquee. This year, however, the marquee was totally booked up and we were invited to the Gold Card Room.
Even then we didn’t stay too long as we were brought around the Singapore Turf Club with Thomas Ong and Priscilla Chan to view the races in the different rooms they had available.
The main excitement however, was when we headed down to the prize giving arena to watch the horses up close and be in the heat of the action!
Here’s my lovely date, Sushi! She’s so elegant in her black vintage dress and pearls. I bought her the orange hat to complete her “racing outfit!”
Hong Peng and Zi Yuan
William and Yuhao were looking pretty dashing as well! I love the color of Yuhao’s blazer and the cute bow time William was wearing.
Regina is wearing a vintage pink prom dress from Dustbunny and carrying a lovely clutch from Forever 21 that she also got for me. She looks like a very pretty sugarplum fairy in this outfit! I totally adore her pillbox hat! Her friend, JP is also looking so pretty in mint!
At the prize giving arena, I also ran into Sheikh Haikel and Annabelle Francis. They are the friendliest couple ever and I was kinda shocked that Annabelle still remembered me from our last event at the Singapore Turf Club!
I love the designs on the dress Annabelle had on that night and she was so charming and sweet!
After the excitement of the match and the celebration of the winners, we headed to the lobby to rest and take photos.
Most of the photos at the lobby were taken by Regina or Jessie so I don’t have any to share here. I can however, share a pic of my outfit that day.
I wore this vintage ball gown that I bought at Dustybunny together with Sushi and Regina. It’s absolutely one of my favorite dresses and I love the lace top!
Matched with a Chanel quilted clutch, red Cartier Santos, mini hat from Review Australia and Christian Louboutins heels for an old Hollywood glamour look.
I love all your dresses! You look like a princess in this gown. Like snow white! You are so lucky to get to go to such events.
Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for your compliments. Some one also said I reminded her of snow white on that event day. You don’t have to be lucky to attend, most of these events are open to the public as well so you just have to watch out for when the tickets go on sale 🙂
