Skinbiotics Works!

Some of you might have already heard of Skinbiotics. I attended the Skinbiotics bloggers launch event on a yatch some time back (will be blogging about that soon!) but I didn’t post about my experiences with Skinbiotic till now because I needed to give it some time before I could review it. Skinbiotics is a nutri-beauty supplement that works from within to aid you to getting beautiful skin. Of course topical skincare is important but these days, most of us do not have a very balance and nutritious diet which is why supplements can help to boost the health of our skin.

Skinbiotics works on a cellular level for their anti-aging treatment to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays, sun and oxidative damage .It helps enhance cell regeneration that will repair damaged skin and promote the growth of new skin. Skinbiotics is not a one pill cure all supplement which is why they have 3 versions although all aids in anti-aging and cell protection as well. Each version, Reactiv 01, 02 and 03 targets a common skincare problem that we face. Reactiv 01 is mainly to even the skin tone and encourage radiance, reduce fine lines and increase luminosity. Reactiv 02 is for firmness, elasticity, hydration and those who would like to smoothen their deep lines. And lastly Reactiv 03 is for blemishes, minimizing of pore size and brilliance. At the moment only Reactiv 01 an 02 is for sale. Reactiv 03 is not yet released.

I may be in my 30s but I don’t think Reactiv 02 is for me yet so that went to my mummy (I’ll give a review once she has tried it for a couple of weeks). I personally tried Reactiv 01 and while it states that it takes about 8 weeks to see visible results, I’m starting to see them at Week 4 of my supplement routine. For the first 3 weeks, I really couldn’t see any difference but since it wasn’t doing me any harm as well, I continued taking. Now that I’m on my 4th week, I can see that my skin is visibly clearer and brighter! Also the best thing for me about Skinbiotics is it’s ability to give me sun protection.  Most of us know that the sun is the biggest enemy when it comes to skincare. The sun contains 7% UVA and UVB rays and 44% blue light, all of which causes our skin to age or have difficult issues such as pigmentation, wrinkles or sagging.

But by taking 2 pills a day, I am able to increase my sun protection by 7 times!!! Most sunscreen are designed to protect us from UVA and UVB rays but they don’t protect you from blue light in UV which causes wrinkles and skin damage. Skinbiotics contains Solaplex that protects you from UVA, UVB and blue light! I’ve been taking up tennis lessons and travelling where I spend all day walking in the super bright and hot summer weather. I still do use sunscreen on my face as part of my beauty routine every morning but I don’t bother to touch up during the day. And amazingly, I never got darker! I had expected to be tan after being outdoors more than usual but  not only did I maintained my skin tone, my skin looks healthy and radiant. I could be just lucky but  after the 4th week of taking the pills, it seems that my skin is pretty clear as well. I’m convinced that if I don’t go outdoors that often I’ll probably be whiter!

The pretty pink pills were meant to help increase the elasticity of the skin as well, but I can’t really comment on that because my skin wasn’t saggy to start with. But with good clear radiant skin, I don’t need any foundation to look better. My current makeup only consists of eyeliner and occasionally some blusher if I have an event to attend ( yes, I don’t even do my brows which I should!). No BB creams, no foundation, no powder, no eyeshadow, and no falsies ( I have  Novalash extensions from Lolita which I will blog about soon!). It seems that I’m putting less and less on my face and I’m happier. Everything starts with a good base which means clear skin. Living in the city, lots of stress, sleeping late and eating out on most days, just using creams is no longer enough. I need a 2 prong approach to skincare so that I can work beauty from within as well.

Skinbiotics ambassador is Fann Wong and her skin looks fantastic at her age. If you want to get your Skinbiotics, head down to any Watsons store. It’s $138 for Reactiv 01 and $148 for Reactiv 02. I’m keen to try Reactiv 03 when it’s out as well as I have big pores. For now I’m just really happy with my Reactiv 01. Friends who see me everyday can’t see a difference but friends who didn’t see me for the last 2 to 3 months, commented that my skin looks more radient and I’m alway happy to tell them that I’m Skinbiotics.

PS – I haven’t changed my skincare for the last 4 weeks because I wanted to see if it was the pills that would be giving me any results. However, starting week 5 of my supplement routine, I will be trying out new skincare 🙂

      Hi Grace,

I’ve only tried 01 so far but I would be keen to try 03 in the future so when I do, I’ll do another review!
