I haven’t updated photos of my dogs on my blog in quite a while and some of my readers very sweetly emailed me to ask me how they were which prompted me to do this post.
Louis and Emmie are both doing great. I didn’t manage to celebrate their birthdays this year because Emmie was gravely ill previously. Now that they are both stable and well, I am thinking of doing a belated birthday celebration for them. Dogs have such short life spans and you might have heard that one dog year equals to 7 human years. So every single celebration is even more important!
These photos of them were taken in the car as I was fetching them to their beach outing. They love the outdoors and beach outings are top on their list. Louis tends to settle down at a cozy corner and laze his way on a car ride while Emmie tends to be a little more excited, perching up by the window pane to watch the scenery passing by.
That’s the amazing thing when you own more than one animal (I suppose it’s the same with children) cause they can be undergoing the same environment, same food, same teachings and yet exhibit such extraordinarily different personalities and behaviors.
I had toyed with the idea of taking Louis and Emmie on a holiday trip a couple of times. I’ve always wished they were with me when I travel and wondered if they would love winter. But alas, the whole transporting of animals in and out of different countries is a mad hassle and the amount of time they need to be spent in quarantine each time is just beyond ridiculous. Thus, the holiday trip with them never materializes.
Luckily though, dogs are one of the most lovable and contentment creatures. All they want is to spend time with you. It doesn’t matter if they never leave the country. A trip to the Tanjung beach is like heading to Maldives for them. And that also means I get plenty of sunshine every weekend, alternating between the beach or the park.
Another reason why you are seeing less of them is because I’m getting a little complacent with photo taking. I have tons and tons of photos that are backlogged and waiting to be shared on my blog so nowadays instead of pulling out my camera, I have a higher chance of pulling out my phone and posting an Instagram. If you want more instantaeous photo updates then please add me on Instagram – @renzze
Here I am signing out with a photo of me wearing someone else’s sunglasses. I don’t even remember ever taking this shot and whose sunglasses those were! And don’t worry, that was not my outfit for the beach. It was taken much earlier in the day when I had another appoinment.
