Desti Saint Launch

As I was saying how busy I was recently, I never got round to posting about an incredibly cool handbag collection, Desti Saint. I was invited by Faz to attend the Desti Saint new Maddie collection launch sometime end April. I invited Regina and Eunice along with me. Eunice is already a fan of the brand before she knew about the launch and was really excited even before we got there.

Despite it being held on an evening of a workday, the crowd was buzzing with excitement! We were treated to champagnes, canopies and a fashion show of Desti’s Maddie collection which was named after her very lovely daughter! Eunice spent no time at all in deciding that she had to walk away with a piece from the collection. And even before the fashion show began, she was the proud owner of a striking Argentum Silver Rectangle Tassel bag. The silver bag is so radient that it’s impossible to miss this statement piece.

I loved the pony hair clutches in the collection and oriental motifs. The designer, Desti, was such wonderful company. She is stunning in a black dress and a huge red flower in her hair but it  was her warm overflowing personality that made her an absolute delight! She is so passionate about her designs and even took the effort to show us a sneak preview into the materials and designs she is already planning for her next collection!  All the motifs on the leather is hand carved with so much attention paid to the details. As she explained the process, I felt that I was no longer looking at just an accessory but a piece of mobile art work!

At the end of the event, they had a Maddie Collection cake that was designed to be a replica of the real Desti Saint bag! It was incredible and I just had to share the photos.

As we had rushed down to the event straight after work, Eunice, Regina and I headed to Strictly Pancakes after the event for our super late dinner/supper before heading home.
