In Singapore, a quick easy lunch usually means popping by to the nearest coffeeshop or hawker to get a complete meal with a drink for less than SGD5. And I think most of us really take it for granted. It’s really rare that we have good easy meals that are cheap and within walking distance of almost anywhere you stay in the country. In most other countries I’ve stayed in, it either means forking out quite a bit to eat out or making a quick sandwich for lunch. So before 2011 comes to a close, this post is a tribute to being thankful of one of the things that I’ve taken for granted while living in Singapore.
