Western Market

Eleanor and I had some Indonesian cuisine for lunch before heading to take a look at the Western Market. It is one of the oldest buildings in Hong Kong and I love the Edwardian architecture. The Western Market first opened for business in 1844 but the current building you see was only built in 1906 as it was the extension of the original Western Market.

I personally love when there’s a juxtaposition of buildings. The old and the new in complete harmony always gives the place a lot more character and culture.
