I met some really nice locals in Hangzhou and one lady suggested I spend the day relaxing at Longjin Village. These villages are all done up nicely and belong to owners of the tea fields. We stopped by one of the village homes for a cup of tea as well as some home made food.
You don’t really get much choice in food and there are no menus. The local owner would usually suggest to you what they have on hand to cook for you. We had a very generous serving of noodles in chicken broth and bamboo shoots. I don’t remember what it is called but a friend from Hangzhou said it was a traditional local Hangzhou dish. We also got to try out different types of tea and bought some Longjing tea to bring back to Singapore.
