The famous dumplings and xiao long baos to try in the Yuyuan Gardens is at Nanxiang Steam Buns Restaurant. But you have to be prepared to queue for a really long time! However, what caught my interest is not so much the xiao long baos which I more commonly come across in Singapore but the larger soup dumplings. These large soup dumplings come with a straw so you can drink up the broth!
The ingredients of the buns usually is a mixture of pork and crab-meat so I had some allergic reactions after taking it. But my stash of anti-histamines did the trick of dissipating my rashes before it got too bad.
