Another belated post .
Had a really fantastic countdown with the new year’s eve party organised by Siew Kum and Saumil. They always throw the most fabulous parties with the simple aim of never letting their guests’ glasses get empty! So you can easily imagine how much drinks were going round!
Their theme this time round was literally out of this world! For the dress code, we had to come in any race from any planet other that earth and everyone got into the mood! From trekkie elves to mouseman to the queen of the republic to other worldly creatures! If you can imagine it, it’s there.
It was really fun catching up with familiar faces and also meeting new ones. Conversations flowed freely and intelligently which makes for an auspicious start to the new year. Everyone is always busy with work or jet-setting around the place so it becomes even more heart warming when you can spend important moments with the people who’s lives you have crossed paths with.
I know it’s already past the mid year as I write this post. Time does fly by but the memories are still as fresh as yesterday. Fuel for my next half of 2010 to complete those resolutions I made. Fuel to keep love and friendship strong and alive. Fuel to make this year even more meaningful.
As Benjamin Franklin once said “Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man.”
Thanks to the lovely Siew Kum and Saumil for the gorgeous party! You guys are the sweetest and friendliest couple. We should really meet up soon to catch up! It’s been a hectic year for all of us.
