Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow

It was a German birthday dinner to celebrate AH and LM’s birthday in KL. We all had to wear yellow and bring an old childhood toy!

Everyone lived up to the theme and I’ve never been to a more yellow gathering ever!

The food was pretty good but more importantly, the company was fantastic! It was really nice catching up with everyone! Laughing and joking… such a great way to relieve stress!

Here’s Aaron and Alvin doing their funny nonsense!

SH and AD were the official photographers that night and in fact most of these pictures here were taken by them. The rest of us ( me included) only had our tiny compact camera with us.

Since we were supposed to bring an old childhood toy, I wanted to bring my He-Man board game which I had when I was really young but I was afraid my game wouldn’t survive the journey to KL and I would lose all my pieces so I brought a smiley face mogu pillow instead.

Everyone brought their treasured memories and artifacts to this dinner. Here are some of the toys!

Do you still remember these printed name cards? I must have been in Primary school or lower secondary when these were all in the rage.

From Transformers to bumble bee pooh bear!

These little Indian and toy soldiers are full metal and made in UK. They just don’t make toys like these any more. These babies last forever!

Wow… this game boy still works perfectly!

Everyone took turns to have some fun with my smiley face.

And of course it was cake time for the 2 birthday boys! It was an absolutely scrumptious crumbly cake!

SH won the best dressed to theme award that night for his double yellow layer and his Optimus Prime. His reward? Steve the shrilling chicken! LOL.

Oh and here’s my yellow outfit with my yellow bubble wand =)

wow, i can feel the cheery mood just by looking at the pictures. even the food’s kind of yellow! and it’s a toy party, better and better 😀 too bad your mogu face got molested. oh that lady exuding a resort chic feel in the babydoll halter over a yellow tube looks fabulous!

Yellow is always such a cheery color but also very tricky to pull off. The dear girl you mentioned is always really well dressed especially for theme parties!

usually it’s not easy to dress up well and still reflect the theme for theme parties. but luckily for me, the only challenging theme party i had come across so far is a fashion disaster themed party 😀 i’ll be updating my blog with the outfit i wore for that party later this week. not anything mindblowingly outrageous though, not like the guys who wore their underwear outside hahaha. btw, does that lady have a blog?

      xiaoqi,

I took a peek at your fashion disaster outfit and it’s brilliant! Lol… with that creativity and style you could get away with that outfit even without that theme. As far as I know, the lady in the pic doesn’t have a blog.
