This morning I received a text message from Magnum, my usual driver and friend which I always use whenever I go Bali. He wanted to know when I will be going Bali again as he hasn’t heard from me for awhile. I used to go Bali several times a year for the last 10 years but I haven’t been to Bali at all this year. It’s not that I’ve given up on Bali but the changes on the little island is moving at such a rapid speed, I can’t keep up. Maybe its a sign of age, but I do miss the days when it was less commercialized and simpler.
I will eventually make another trip to Bali again but for now, I’m happy to explore the other parts of Asia which I’ve neglected for so long. Looking back on my old photos which were only taken 3 years ago, I used to be so much chubbier and younger looking. It only reminds me that I really should try and get more beauty sleep.
